FAQs

Are theme updates free?

Yes, absolutely! All updates for the Opulence theme are completely free.

Is it mandatory to update my theme?

No, updating is entirely up to you. Your theme will continue to work as it is. However, you may want to update if the newer version offers features or improvements that interest you.

How can I find out what's included in the new theme version, and will it auto-update?

Always check the release notes on the theme’s listing page. These notes outline what’s new in the latest version. Larger updates with structural changes in the theme code will be flagged if an automatic update isn't possible.

Is there an app that helps with updates and store backups?

Yes! The Theme Updater Plus app by Out of the Sandbox (a paid app) can simplify your update process. It keeps your store backed up, optimized, and updated while preserving your customizations and settings. The app transfers settings configured through the Theme Editor and even attempts to migrate custom code. If some files can’t be carried over, the app will notify you.

Can you manually update my theme for me?

Unfortunately, we don’t offer manual update services. However, you can hire a developer specializing in theme customizations to assist with this.

What does the "could not be added to the Theme Library" message mean?

Shopify allows up to 19 unpublished themes in your store. If you see this message, it could mean you’ve reached this limit.

Alternatively, larger updates with schema or settings changes might prevent seamless updates. In such cases, you’ll need to add the new theme directly from the theme store and recreate your settings manually by copying them from your current theme.
